The Wedding Planner

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of doing the makeup for Lisa Romano's wedding, of Bella Bridal. Lisa and I have worked together many times as side by side vendors so it was an honor to be asked to do her makeup for her big day. Lisa and her Business partner Alisa are wedding planners and I am always excited to be a part of one of the weddings that they so beautifully pull together.

I was very curious to see what the wedding of a wedding planner is like and she did not let me down. Lisa went for a black and white wedding which she decorated very elegant yet playful. It was absolutly beautiful and so was she. I was able to get a few pictures from Jen from Ego Media Photography and there are more photos posted on Jen's blog.

Naturally Beautiful

When I ask brides what they have in mind for thier wedding makeup the answer I most often get is "natural." Wedding makeup can really be tricky, because a bride needs to photograph well, look natural in person and still feel like themself. Candace was another one of the brides I work with that rarely wears makeup but wanted her features to really stand out in pictures. Even with all the close-ups her skin looks flawless and her true beauty was able to shine through.

Candace's hair was done by Mindy Whalen and her photographer was none other than Jen Lowe.

E-Pics Are A Must

Engagement pictures, or affectionately known in wedding jargon as E-Pics, are wildly popular these days. Many photographers are even including them in their wedding packages. It is a great way to get to know the wedding photographer before the day of the wedding and also the pictures really come in handy. I know a lot of brides who use the pictures at the wedding or incorporate them into their albums. I had the pleasure of doing Kate's makeup for her engagement photos and she looks absolutely stunning. You bride's should definitely consider treating yourself to makeup for the E-Pics, especially since I give a discount to the girls who have booked me for their weddings.
