A Day in the Life of a COVERGIRL Makeup Artist

You may have heard the commercials on MIX 106.5 last week about FREE makeovers happening at Camden Yards on Friday night by a professional COVERGIRL makeup artist. Well that makeup artist was yours truly. I was joined by my friends Devon (from Fusion in Westminster) and Megan (from Baltimore Bridal Makeup) and we had a blast doing mini makeovers and giving away COVERGIRL makeup. It was a long night but everyone seemed delighted with their makeover and free Lash Blast LUXE and Outlast Lipstain. It was a joy to be an Easy Breazy Beautiful COVERGIRL.

Hot Hot Hot Headshots

I have so much excitement in me right now since I am finally able to share this post. This gorgeous girl is my wonderful sister-in-law Meg and I had the pleasure of doing her hair and makeup for some head shots. The photos were taken by the extraordinary Jen Lowe and if you have not booked JLowe Photos yet for your wedding/family portraits/engagement pictures , what are you waiting for?

I think everyone should have a little "model" moment at least once in their life and I know Meg really enjoyed this. It was a hot hot day and I think the pictures turned out even hotter.

News Worthy

I am excited to inform all of you that a wonderful colleague of mine, Allison Barnhill, will be interviewed tomorrow morning on Fox 45 for a special wedding week feature. Allison Barnhill designs specializes in couture wedding and special event invitations and coordinating accessories. Their work is truly unique and refreshing, artistic and stylish, their couture creations set the tone for your special occasion.

This week on Fox 45 morning news they are interviewing different wedding professionals to promote the Baltimore Bridal show on Sunday August 16th. I watched on Tuesday for flowers and today for cakes and tomorrow they have invited Allison Barnhill Designs to the station.

I am especially excited because Allison has asked me to do her hair and makeup for the interview. So tune into Fox 45 Thursday morning between 8 and 9 to watch the interview featuring Allison's work (and mine too).

Featured Wedding: Gorgeous Gloria

It was such a pleasure for me to do the makeup for Gloria on her wedding day. The wedding took place at the Pier IV hotel in Baltimore and it was a star studded cast of vendors. One of which was the very talented Shane Carpenter of Shane Carpenter Weddings who was wonderful enough to share his masterpiece photography with me so I could blog about Gloria's wedding. I have to say that Gloria was an exquisite bride from head to toe and it was such an honor to have done her makeup. I don't always get to stay long enough to see the bride put on her dress but I decided that there was no way I was going to leave without seeing Gloria in her Vera Wang gown so I sat myself down on the couch until she was dressed and it lived up to every bit of my expectations. I have a lot of photos to share because, well, there were too many amazing ones too choose from. Great job Shane! Enjoy the beauty friends!

Okay, so at first I didn't get why Shane sent me this next picture and then…..I saw the sign for the woman's restroom. How hilarious is that?

Beautiful Basilica Bride

I had the pleasure of doing makeup for Julia and her family at her June wedding in Baltimore. I do not even need to say it because you can tell by the pictures but she was absolutely breathtaking. The ceremony was at the Basilica and the reception was at Rolling Road Country Club. I wish I could have been there because it looked like they had a wonderful time. Julia hired Maria Linz Photography to capture her moments through film on her special day and Maria was kind enough to share some of her photos with me. Hair and Makeup for E-Pics

Kelley and I will be doing Kris's hair and makeup for her wedding this Sunday but the first order of business was her engagement pictures. Kris does not ever wear makeup so she made a very smart decision to enlist a profesional (moi). I think many gals are afraid to get their makeup done for their wedding or engagement pictures because they are worried they will look "too done-up" or "like a drag queen". But as you can see by Kris's pictures, she looks entirely natural but her beautiful features are accentuated. Her skin looks flawless and her lips are the perfect shade of pink and she didn't have to worry about a thing. Kelley also did her hair for the engagement pictures which I think looked perfectly soft and feminine. The wonderful Jen Lowe photographed the session and she has more photos posted on her blog. I can't wait for the wedding!

Kate......The Encore

This is the eagerly anticipated "Encore" of Kate and Brad's wedding that Kelley and I participated in in April. Jen from Ego Media Photography just posted the rest of the photos on her website and I literally jumped up and down when I saw they were available. All of the girls looked absolutely stunning and I wanted to show off a few more of the beautiful photos from the wedding day.
